Something Fishy has been going in Year 2 this week. In English the children have been writing letters to the launderette manager, Mr Sudds, to tell him about the peculiar things that have been happening inside his washing machines.
Mr Sudds also asked Beech Class to help him with a problem he is having in the launderette. The polystyrene cups which the customers use to measure out their washing powder, keep on getting knocked over. This means that Mr Sudds spends a lot of his time sweeping up washing powder from the floor!
He asked the children to design a holder for these cups using only card, sticky tape, staples and pipe cleaners. I’m sure you’ll agree that the children came up with some very imaginative solutions to his problem.
