In Year 2 we have been learning about British Values. We started by thinking about what a value was, we talked about our school values and the values that we have as individuals.
Then we thought about what it means to be British and thought about the British Values of Democracy, Individual Liberty, Respect, Rule of law and Tolerance of Those of Different Faiths and Beliefs. The children loved joining in with class debates and practised their democratic rights by voting for books they wanted for their book corner. Sycamore class presented a wonderful and engaging class collective worship about the value ‘Respect’. We also exercised our Individual Liberty by designing our own clay models.
All in all we had a very thoughtful and reflective week.
