On Wednesday 9th May it was the turn of Rowan Class to lead Collective Worship. They had been thinking about what it meant to live in a community and what it meant to belong.
The children had drawn and painted pictures of all the things they belonged to. We had some beautiful pictures of our school, our families and various clubs the children go to. We then looked at how the church is an important part of our community and how we are all part of God’s family.
In the Bible it teaches us that being part of God’s family is like a body. Each part of the body is important and we need all those parts for the body to work well. The children turned Sela and Alfie into great big paintings of bodies and we thought about what each part does and all the things we can do to make our communities better places.
Well done Rowan, you were fantastic!.
