COMPUTING

All classes have access to computers under adult supervision to learn a variety of word processing, data handling, research and presentation skills at an age appropriate level. The children are also introduced to simple programming, coding and computer algorithms (a list of rules to follow in order to solve a problem.)

Most classes, the hall and music room have Interactive Whiteboard Screens which the children use to interact with a range of lessons during the day. All computers are networked and linked to the Internet and Wi-Fi. The use of digital and video cameras, iPad and recording equipment enables our pupils to experience a wide range of age appropriate information technology. All children follow appropriate safeguarding protocols when using the internet, which is only accessed with adult supervision.

Children are also given the responsibility to help support Collective Worship by managing the hall computer and sound technologies.
