We had a lovely afternoon in school today, celebrating our wonderful mothers (or Grandmas/Nannys/Aunties/Sisters/whoever could join in for the afternoon). We enjoyed a variety of activities and the children were able to choose which classroom and activities they'd like to take their mums to. In Birch class they had the choice of cake and biscuit decorating, in Rowan they could weave a pretty heart or flower for their mums and in Elm they could choose to make an Easter egg holder from the resources available. The children were then super excited because their mums were invited to enjoy our collective worship.
It was a lovely afternoon. Thank-you to all the mums (or other relatives) who came, for making the time to join us. If you couldn't join us on this occasion due to other commitments, or little ones at home, please rest assured that your children were happy and had a wonderful time too, they either buddied up with a friends mum or spent the afternoon with their teacher enjoying the lovely activities on offer.
Look out on the website or newsletter for the next open afternoon.
