Mr Stuart Calvert

A fact that you may not know is that Head Teachers do not HAVE to be a school Governor. However, it is a position that many Head Teachers choose to take on and it is a role that I feel passionate about.

I am directly accountable to the Governing Body of the school. I work hard, with the Chair of the Governing Body and all the Governing Body members, to ensure that school’s values and ethos are actively and continuously reviewed and developed. A crucial part of my role is to ensure that the school finances are deployed effectively, following best value principles, to ensure the learning and welfare of pupils is targeted and that the school staff are supported and able to undertake their roles effectively.

As a Headteacher Governor I advise the Governor Body, strategically develop improvement plans & present outcomes and evaluations and strive to exemplify our agreed distinctly Christian Church school values. It is my role to ensure all who attend or work here feel safe and valued and my aim is to ensure that the school is constantly seeking excellence, fun, awe and wonder.
