Love is at the heart of the Christian faith, teachings and in our school. The bible tells us that 'God is love' as shown by Corinthians 13:1-13.
We show love in the way we care, act and support others in our school and community.
Through stories such as the Prodigal Son and Good Samaritan, Jesus helps us to understand the value of love. We show a loving attitude by putting others before ourselves regardless of who they are.
Trust is at the core of our deeply Christian school. It forms the foundation of our relationship with God and with all peoples. Trust is in our school mission statement of 'Learning for Life'.
Trust is valued in our school through the study of bible stories. As a school we have adopted the symbol of a rainbow to represent God's promise and the trust we place in him.
Jesus said "Don't let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God and trust also in me" (John 14:1).
Our aim is to reflect the value of trust in our school community by exploring honesty, helpfulness and reliability. We encourage children to explore the value of trust in school and at home through their learning and play.
Truth is a deeply core Christian value in our school because it is our way of putting love back into the world. If we tell the truth we can be trusted just like Jesus was when he said he would always be there for us.
When Jesus was in a difficult situation he still had the strength to tell the truth for example, when he was arrested by the Romans after The Last Supper (John 13:1).
We show our truthful values by being brave and telling the truth even when it might be difficult and by doing this we encourage others to do the same.
