The children learnt some fantastic creative skills during our Scarecrow's Wedding topic when they created some lovely Harry and Betty pictures. They were given the opportunity to independently apply these skills this half term and chose which Christmas present they would like to try to re-create in the pictures.
The children chose the colours they would like their background to be and used Brusho and water to paint the background for their picture. Then they used a variety of joining techniques to hold their chosen materials together to re-create their favourite Christmas present. They we're challenged to think of a way to make part of their picture move using either a slider of a spinner, or both. I'm very proud of the work they produced independently and think you'll agree that we have some very creative children in Elm class.
Children, can you spot your picture? Can your parents guess which Christmas present you've made?
