Elm class were feeling very excited (and maybe just a little but nervous) this week because it was our turn to present a collective worship. Our theme was 'Special Books'. In class, we discussed books that were special to us and gave reasons as to why these books were so special.
Charlotte D said... "My special book is called Paper Dolls, I love the story so much because I share it with my Mummy".
Isla said...."My special book is my Atlas because I love finding out about places in the world."
Freya said..."My special book is Guess How Much I Love You, because Mummy reads it to me at bedtime."
Owen said "I love The Gruffalo, I think it is awesome because there are scary creatures in it."
Cameron's special book was "Spiderman" because he thinks Spiderman is so cool!
We thought about the special book for Christian people, The Bible. We chose our classes favourite Bible story to retell in our collective worship. We decided that our favourite Bible story was the story of Noah and the Ark. The children worked so hard to with you lovely parents at home to make posters and art work showcasing their special books. They spoke clearly, sang wonderfully and acted out the story of Noah and the Ark brilliantly! Well done Elm Class, I am so proud of you all!!
