How to make your very own Elmer the Elephant.
Materials needed:
- 1 empty and clean milk bottle
-scissors
-brightly coloured tissue paper or newspaper cut into squares
-glue
-felt tip pens
-cardboard box
Instructions
1 - Stand the milk bottle up and cut it just below the handle. This will form the elephant's trunk. Then cut off the entire bottom half of the bottle and cut four legs into it. You might like an adult to help you.
2 - Stick tissue paper/newspaper all over your elephant. You might like to overlap the colours to improve your design.
3 - Draw 2 semi circles, with a tab at the bottom onto the cardboard and cut them out.
4 - Cover the ears with the tissue paper/newspaper and attach to your elephant using the tab.
5 - For the eyes you can either make them by cutting out 2 cardboard circles or you can use googly eyes if you have them.
I can't wait to see what designs you come up with.

This is my little boy Harvey with his Elmer the Elephant which he made. He was very proud of himself.
