Essential Assessment Dates 2019-2020
Within year 1 and year 2 children will be undergoing statutory assessments linked to the national curriculum on or during the following dates. Parents are strongly advised to discuss absence for holiday leave in advance of any bookings being made. Parents may be issued penalty notices (fines) if unauthorised absence it taken from school.
There are no set dates for Foundation Stage Assessments in Year R. Parents are advised that teachers undergo continuous assessments with children throughout the year. Please seek advice through the school office if you wish to pursue absence from school for exceptional reasons.

See above for guidelines and information about what statements children are expected to have achieved by the end of Year 2.
Teaching Staff look at robust independent evidence against each of the statements in Reading, Writing, Science and Maths in order to judge that children have achieved A.R.E. (Age Related Expectations) or whether children are "working towards expectations" (WTS) or at a "Greater Depth Standard" (GDS)
