How far did the cars go?

Choose a selection of cars that you have at home and find a surface that you can use as a slant. Make sure the surface that the cars roll onto can be marked e.g. pavement or paper. Take each car in turn and let it roll down the slant, mark off where the car stops. Do this with the rest of your cars and then record the results. Then answer these questions.

  1. Which car went the longest distance?
  2. Which car went the shortest distance?
  3. Did any 2 cars stop at the same place?
  4. What would make the cars go faster?
