Learning for Life
Hello, I’m Robert Lankford, a “co-opted” governor, with skills and interests that are useful to the school. I have lived on the Waterside all my life and worked for over 20 years in the NHS, where I currently work as a full time Paramedic with the ambulance service at a local station. Previously, I have been a volunteer with St. John Ambulance where I held the role of County Emergency Planning Officer.
I have a passion for health, well-being, and safety and I am delighted to be a governor on the Resources Committee for the school.
I am unashamedly an absolute big Disney fan! In rare moments of time off with my wife, I enjoy the cinema, eating out and cruising holidays. You’ll often see me during the summer months at Hythe Marina where I volunteer aboard M/V Alison MacGregor, a purpose-built, 11 metre motor catamaran where we take passengers with disabilities out on the water in comfort and safety.
