School Closure

Dear Parents,

Following the late announcement from the government we will now be closed as from today with the exception of the children of critical front line key workers, we would be grateful if any of these parents are able to find childcare for today to also please keep their children at home. This is simply to give staff the opportunity to plan for the unexpectedly immediate closure for the rest of this half term.

Thank you to those keyworker parents who have already returned the form sent out . For anyone who has not yet returned their form, we are asking parents to let us have this information as soon as possible and by 7.30am today to allow us to allocate your child a place in our provision. (forms available from the letters page)To help reduce the spread of the virus and protect children, staff and their families, we would ask that keyworker parents and carers only use this facility if they are unable to make alternative arrangements for childcare.  If your child is considered vulnerable and you would like them to access our provision, please email the office and let us know which days you would like your child to attend.

If you are unable to print or return the form, an email to the school office detailing the days you require childcare will be sufficient. Please also let us know if you require any before or after school care. I have liaised with Planet Kids who will be providing wrap around care as usual today for any keyworker children who need it but after that we will have to review the level of need.

For parents whose children will not be attending school, we will be making our remote learning available to all pupils from today.  Further details to follow.

We appreciate that this may be a very difficult and emotional time for our families for many different reasons and we are always available for any queries or concerns. We will also be using the school website to signpost support for families.  Please bear with us as we work behind the scenes to organise these new arrangements and put these measures in place. We appreciate the impact this closure will have on families and we will update you as soon as we possibly can.
