Here is a picture of a playground, there is lots of different sentences that can come from this. The children are all able to hear different amounts, so when sounding out a word get them to write what they hear. E.g. For slide some children may write sd, or some might right slighd. At this time children are learning to write what they hear, it does not matter that it is not spelt correctly. Hope this helps :)

I have written a story, can you draw the pictures to finish the book? The words are colour coded, red for tricky words, blue for words that are difficult and black for words that can be sounded out. Enjoy!
