We subscribe to Purple Mash, which is a creative educational website for children. It is a cross-curricular resource covering a range of subjects. Your child can access Purple Mash from home on a laptop, desktop or a tablet. Purple Mash is a safe environment that does not require any downloading or allow interaction with people and children cannot make any financial transactions.
We will be encouraging the children to continue their learning at home via Purple Mash. Your child has been learning how to use it in school and should be able to use it at home with minimum support. However, you may want to take a few minutes to explore it yourself so that you can support them if needed.
Within Purple Mash you will find:
Mini Mash – An area specifically designed for children in the Early Years.
Creative Tools – Ranging from simple painting programmes to sophisticated coding tools.
Games – There are a variety of games that are really fun to play but also help children to practise their Maths and English skills.
Saving opportunities – Purple Mash lets your child save their work online. This facility also allows children to access their learning from school and continue it at home.
The vast majority of Purple Mash is accessible when using iPads or Android tablets, which can be accessed via the internet browser.
Included with this letter is your child’s Purple Mash login details. Please keep this information safe and secure.
We hope you enjoy sharing this resource with your child.
