Welcome from our Governors

On behalf of the Governing Body we would like to welcome you to the Governor section of the website. Marchwood Church of England Infant School is a school with a strong sense of community, providing children with the confidence, independence and above all enjoyment in ‘learning for life’ using a foundation of faith and ‘Love, Courage and Hope’.

We, as governors, are often seen visiting the school as we endeavour to be actively and enthusiastically involved in all aspects of school life. We also strive to ensure that in all it's activities, the school is enabling every child to achieve their full potential and maximise their life chances, choices and opportunities by setting the right strategic direction for the school. Moreover, we scrutinise and approve the school budget and hold the senior leadership team to account for the educational performance of the school. We are assessed on our abilities to preform our core functions as part of the school's Ofsted inspections.
