Learning for Life
In March 2013, the Government announced it was providing funding of £150 million per year to improve the provision of physical education (PE) and sport in primary schools in England. It supports schools to provide sustainable improvements to the quality of their physical education, sport and activity programmes.
At Marchwood C of E Infant School we use the PE and Sport Premium Funding to make additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of Physical Education, School Sport and Physical Activity (PESSPA) we offer. We use the Primary PE and Sport Premium to develop or add to the PESSPA activities (Physical Education, School Sport and Physical Activity) that our school already offer and to build capacity and capability within our school to ensure that improvements made now will benefit pupils joining the school in future years.
Schools must publish the amount of Primary PE and sport premium received for the academic year; a full breakdown of how it has been spent; what impact the school has seen on pupils’ Physical Education, School Sport and Physical Activity, participation and attainment and how the improvements will be sustainable in the future.
Please see the report below which provides details of our PE and Sport Premium Grant and how we allocate the funding.
