Learning for Life
As part of our vision, we recognise the importance of outdoor learning in helping every child to flourish. Learning beyond the classroom not only enhances academic achievement, but also supports children to develop self-regulation, deepen their appreciation of God’s world, and build positive relationships through shared experiences.
Rooted in our Christian values of Love, Courage and Hope, we encourage children to explore, take risks in their learning, and work together with kindness and respect. Outdoor learning provides meaningful opportunities for pupils to show care for others and the environment, to try new challenges with confidence , and to develop a sense of wonder and optimism about the world around them.
To support this, we have carefully reviewed our curriculum to identify purposeful opportunities for learning to take place outdoors. We have also invested in our Forest School area, ensuring that all classes can regularly benefit from our beautiful grounds and the rich, engaging experiences they offer.
